Kelsey Dumont graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and then completed a Canadian Hospital Residency Program in the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region the following year. She has since worked as a hospital pharmacist with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Additional roles consist of Clinical Instructor with the University of Saskatchewan, College of Pharmacy; sessional instructor for Addiction Counsellor Program with Blue Quills University; and the Saskatchewan HIV & STBBI Provincial Pharmacist. Kelsey is now a Clinical Pharmacist with the Opioid Stewardship Program in Saskatchewan Health Authority; her roles consist of optimizing pain management while minimizing harms associated with opioids, improving access to treatment for substance use disorders including harm reduction strategies, and engaging in research, education, and quality improvement initiatives in opioid stewardship.
