Katherine Kosa is a Director in the Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment group at RTI-HS. Ms. Kosa has over 20 years of experience in the management, design, conduct, and analysis of qualitative research. She has conducted hundreds of individual interviews and focus groups as well as web-based surveys with a wide range of populations, including both patients and health care providers. Ms. Kosa also has experience in policy analysis, program evaluation, training/education, literature reviews, and the preparation of institutional review board (IRB) protocols. Ms. Kosa has presented at national conferences and has published her research in the Annual Review of Public Health, Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Journal of Food Protection, and other peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to joining RTI-HS, Ms. Kosa was a research analyst at RTI International in the Food, Nutrition, and Obesity Research program, using qualitative and quantitative methods to conduct consumer research in food, nutrition, obesity, tobacco, and other health behavior research. In this capacity, she worked on projects for federal and nonfederal clients, including the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
